Beaded crochet beads

Had a go at the beaded crochet beads on the train home.  Started with the instructions from Alma Stoller  but ended up just creating a ring from a crocheted chain and moving up 3 beads at a time for each single crochet stitch to create the blobby beaded bead.  Lovely Indian beads included - thanks to the generosity of Matthew and Amy following their trip to India. The resultant beaded beads are soft to touch and would be light to wear, incorporated into a necklace with other purchased beads.

                        One idea for using each

I like the earring - need a bigger bead on the headpin before putting on the crochet or it falls through.  Also need to make both earrings together to make sure they match.  I also like it as a single piece for a necklace or bracelet - easy to thread through the crochet.  I love these silver plated bangles - the end unscrews to add any bead.  They come from Spoilt Rotten Beads.
